I amregistered for Sole Support because Parkinson's Resources of Oregon meant so much to Mom Bheula and me. She was helped by their exercise classes, their choir "Tremble Clefs," their up-to-date news on medical help, and their lectures. I appreciated their caregiver classes. Access to services for people with Parkinson's disease is a priority for me and that's why it is my honor to sit on their board. I want to do my part to make sure that the programs provided by Parkinson's Resources of Oregon remain free and accessible for the entire community! You are visiting here because you know me, I sent you the link, and you wanted to see how you could support me. THANK YOU!
This year will be the first year I cannot make the Sole Support walk in persoand I'm so very sorry. One of my best friends was married to a wonderful man, Lucien Burke, and he just recently died of Parkinsons. His celebration of life is at the very same time on the same day as Sole Support unfortunately. If you've walked with me at Sole Support before, you know I often pal up with the Giving Team, whose captain is my next door neighbor and great friend. He is also on the board! He graciously said you can stop by his tent for one of his sandwiches or drinks before the walk. Hope you can make it!
So. How do you help? Make a donation if you can. Share my page so others might be moved to contribute. $10, $25, $50, or $500, whatever you are able to do! I've seen how PRO directs their funds to valuable services and I encourage you to be as generous as you are able!
