Important Message from our Director

It is with a heavy heart that we are reaching out to our dedicated Sole Support teams in Medford to let you know we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone this year’s Sole Support walk in Medford, scheduled for Oct. 9, to the spring of 2022.
As you know, the transmission rates of the Delta variant of COVID-19 in Southern Oregon continue to pose a grave health risk to many Oregonians. It is out of an abundance of caution and a desire to protect the health and wellness of our dedicated walkers, our volunteers and our staff that we will delay this year’s event in Medford.
We know the Medford Parkinson’s community is strong and dedicated to our mission of providing support and services to those living with Parkinson’s disease in Southern Oregon. Many of you have done an amazing job organizing teams of walkers and raised funds that will help us carry our mission forward in the months and years to come. All registrations and funds raised for the 2021 Sole Support walk will be carried forward to the 2022 spring event.
While we have not yet identified a new proposed date for Sole Support Medford 2022, you have my commitment to transparent communication and timely updates from PRO as we work through the details and pinpoint future opportunities.
We thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to navigate the ongoing challenges brought on by this global pandemic.
Please feel free to contact me directly with any questions.
