Parkinson's Resources of Oregon (PRO) encourages you to get outdoors and join us for our PeDal Support bike ride and Adaptive Cycle Fair June 22, 2024, at PRO in Beaverton. There are two options, a 7.6-mile or 21-mile route along the Fanno Creek Trail, local neighborhoods, and the Washington County countryside. Both routes are on open roads with possibly heavy traffic. Safety is our top concern. Please be comfortable riding near cars and in traffic. An experienced cyclist will lead each route.
Want a more leisurely ride? The Fanno Creek Trail has several miles of paths easily accessible from the event. Ride at your own pace and distance on the unsupported trail.
*Ride for your own health. *Ride for enjoyment. *Ride and bring awareness to Parkinson's disease. *Ride to raise dollars for services.
Don’t have a bike yet or want to learn more about cycling? Then the Adaptive Cycle Fair is for you! Vendors will be on hand to answer questions about cycling, adaptive bikes, gear, and more.
Lunch Details: Registered riders will receive a box lunch upon their return.
PeDal Support raises awareness about the benefits of cycling with Parkinson's disease. New cyclists, returning cyclists, and experienced cyclists are welcome. The PeDal Support community offers shared cycling experiences in an online group as well as opportunities to meet up in person to ride with new friends. Request an invite to this Facebook Group HERE.
When you register, you will be invited to donate to Parkinson's Resources and ask others to donate. It's easier than you think! Start a Facebook fundraiser, share why you ride on social media, and encourage others to ride and raise funds for PRO's programs and services including our cycling with Parkinson's program, PeDal Support. Don't have Facebook? You can also call our office at 800.426.6806 where our staff can help with a donation or mail checks to: Parkinson's Resources of Oregon, PeDal Support, 8880 SW Nimbus Avenue, Ste.B, Beaverton, OR 97008.
All Registered Participants will receive access to a catered lunch.
Participants who donate or fundraise $100 or more will receive PeDal Support T-shirt. (We will do our best to have adequate supplies on hand, but some shirts may not be available until after the June 22nd date. If that is the case, we will mail to you.)
