Parkinson's Resources of Oregon (PRO) encourages you to get outdoors this summer and join us Father's Day Weekend with a special ride on the Banks-Vernonia trail June 17th. Registered participants will have access to a catered lunch stop along the way! Ride for your own health. Ride for enjoyment. Ride and bring awareness to Parkinson's disease. Ride to raise dollars for services. Whether you choose to start with lunch, finish with lunch, or make Anderson Park in Vernonia your turn around point, there are options to fit all.
Participants will choose their own route and distance based upon your particular experience and fitness level. Start in Banks, Beavercreek, or somewhere along the way. The choice will be yours! While we will provide all registered participants with a cell phone number to contact in the event of an emergency - please note that you are expected to provide your own support and resources for the ride. Much of the paved trail is away from the road and thus may not have easy access for organizers to provide mechanical support or assistance. Want to ride with others? Please just let us know! We will do our best to connect you with a fun companion or two for the day.
Lunch Details: Registered participants as riders or lunch only are invited to join us at Anderson Park Pavillion in Vernonia. We will be serving up lunch for those who arrive any time between 11:30am and 1:00pm.

PeDal Support raises awareness about the benefits of cycling with Parkinson's disease. New cyclists, returning cyclists, and experience cyclists are welcome. The PeDal Support community offers shared cycling experiences in an online group as well as opportunities to meet up in person to ride with new friends. Request an invite to this Facebook Group HERE.
When you register, you will be invited to donate to Parkinson's Resources and ask others to donate. It's easier than you think! Start a Facebook fundraiser, share why you ride on social media, and encourage others to ride and raise funds for PRO's programs and services including our cycling with Parkinson's program, PeDal Support. Don't have Facebook? You can also call our office at 800.426.6806 where our staff can help with a donation or mail checks to: Parkinson's Resources of Oregon, PeDal Support, 8880 SW Nimbus Avenue, Ste.B, Beaverton, OR 97008.
